Splinter Cell: Blacklist - Wii U Trailer

Wii U GamePad being used to play Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Blacklist
Ubisoft is getting pretty creative with the GamePad.

Nintendo recently issued a press release which confirmed that Ubisoft is working on a Wii U version of Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Blacklist. The game is scheduled for release in North America on August 20th, in Europe and PAL territories on August 22nd, and the UK on August 23rd.

The game is a continuation of the Splinter Cell franchise starring Sam Fisher. In Blacklist, Fisher and his team must hunt down a group of terrorists who are launching attacks on United States assets. Voice actor Eric Johnson will be playing the part of Fisher, as Michael Ironside has decided not to reprise his role as the protagonist.

Ubisoft has released a new trailer for the Wii U version which shows how the GamePad will be used in a variety of ways. You can watch it after the break.
