Super Castlevania IV coming to Wii U eShop on October 31st

Simon Belmont using his whip in the video game Super Castlevania IV

Nintendo has announced that Super Castlevania IV is coming to the North American Wii U eShop on October 31st. The game was originally released on the SNES in 1991 and features plenty of platforming and combat. Developed by Konami, it continues the saga of Simon Belmont as he continues his battle against the evil Dracula. Here's a brief description from the Big N's official website:

Players take on the role of Simon Belmont, armed with the legendary whip, Vampire Killer, to defeat Dracula and his evil minions. Luckily, Simon has many additional weapons at his disposal, including axes, holy water, crosses, knives and even a magical stopwatch that can stop the flow of time for a spell. Simon must travel through 11 stages, beginning in the countryside, to reach Dracula's Castle, all the while overcoming perilous traps and hideous monsters. Only the power of the Belmonts can quell the looming darkness.

Like all re-releases on Wii U, this version supports Off-TV Play. Trailer after the break.
