Mario & Sonic at the Sochi 2014 Olympic Winter Games was released in Europe for a few weeks now, but it is now available in North America. Nintendo of America has officially confirmed that the Wii Remote Plus bundle, which includes a copy of the game and a Wiimote, will be released in North America as well. The bundle had been rumored to be coming to the region as some retailers, including GameStop and Amazon, recently posted listings for it. The MSRP for the game alone is $49.99, but for just $10 more, you will get one of the newer controllers with MotionPlus built in.

So far, the reviews for the game have been very mixed. As of this writing, Mario & Sonic at the Sochi 2014 Olympic Winter Games currently has a Metacritic average of 57 based on 20 reviews.

Andre of popular gaming site GameXplain recently uploaded his video review to YouTube, and his opinion of the game seems to fall in line with everyone else. He says there are some great moments with fun to be had, but ultimately, it's a hit-or-miss title. Video review after the break.
